Hi there, thanks for visiting my website! Primarily I class myself as a sound engineer specialising in live sound, audio networking remote multi track recording & producing new, unsigned artists.
I try and make myself accesible to pretty much anyone and driven by the job discription…not the money.
I am in a very fortunate position to be co owner & project manager of tech solution company PA Comms which allows me to make myself affordable and accessible to all types of musicians, engineers and promoters.
I own a vast array of Live Sound Equipment, Studio Quality Microphones, Monitors, Plugins and am lucky enough to have great contacts in the industry, both players and manufactuers.
The idea for this site is mainly to introduce myself to you, let you know what I do and hopefully jump on board some new projects!
I fully believe communication is the key to most successfull projects so if your an artist (big or small) engineer or anyone wanting to get in touch, please feel free to drop me an email!

Live Sound
This is where I started my journey into audio engineering…in a hotel conference room behind an old 24 channel analogue desk, blagging my way through a local function band set. 12 years later I’m still doing it, but with bigger toys and more flashing lights!
I can offer live sound equipment up to a capacity of 500-800 people with my JBL/EAW KF650 rig powered by steady MC2 amps. For smaller gigs I have an array of more suited equipment and desks to fit the room, mainly iPad controlled.
As well as the speakers I also have the equipment (mics, Di’s) etc and can provide a great crew if required.
On the flip side to this I can also be contracted in to do FOH/Monitors for touring artists at fairly short notice.
Even if you need someone to tech spec or sit on your event to over see the audio team….always happy to help where I can!
Production
Production is what I’m most passionate about. I enjoy the journey from demo to final release and love getting involved in projects big and small. As a musician myself I can be that 2nd set of ears to your music and offer structural or musical changes that may not be so obvious to the writer! I am fully equipped with a small studio setup with high end plugins for mixing and post production and work closely with dedicated mastering engineers.
On top of all this I have a fantastic pool of sessions musicians I work with so for example, if you are a singer songwriter and want to give your tracks more of a band feel, I am happy to arrange the parts and work with them to lay down the extra components.

Audio Networking
Since working freelance with Yamaha in 2015 it was apparent DANTE was well worth learning about. DANTE (Digital Audio Networking Through Ethernet) is developed and maintained by Australian company Audinate who are cropping up in more and more third party products.
It is very easy to setup and is slowly becoming the standard I/O comms for the audio industry so well worth a look.
I have the DVS (virtual Soundcard) and the Via apps so if you bring me along to do sound for your gig, you’ll also get a free multitrack recording as well! Not bad eh 🙂
Recording
I am more of a mobile recording engineer opposed to studio… saying that I have fantastic contacts in commercial studios for capture required in a proper live room. I like getting creative when on location, positioning mics in strange places to capture natural ambient sounds. I have interfaces of all different sizes and can cater to up to 128 tracks simultaneous via Dante.

The sound of the pa was amazing and the monitors were great.

Working with Rob on our EP was wonderful. We hired him for his affable nature and technical expertise, but soon realised we were in the hands of an amazing musical architect. I’ve had the amazing pleasure of working with Rob Eveling on shows in the UK and abroad. The first thing I always see is a smile! Rob is a fantastic engineer to work with. Super attentive and always cares about trying to achieve the best he can on any given gig, especially when you’re abroad or sharing a desk with other bands and there are soo many variables you can’t control, I have always felt secure in knowing he is on top of things which means I can focus on my job! Also great to hang with for post gig merryness… especially when we get the bill and he can’t remember how many red wines he ordered 😉
